  • Jennifer O'Grady: The Replacement

A lovely, surprising and ultimately hopeful play about intergenerational connection in the midst of bigotry and hate. With gentle humor and enormous humanity, Norkin’s play shows what can be done when people step up to make change. Everyone needs a bubbie like Sylvia!

  • Jessica Feder-Birnbaum: The Replacement

Protagonist, SYLVIA, swiftly puts Neo-Nazi CLIFFORD in his place declaring herself his "Replacment Jew" without resorting to harsh words or violence. Both pathos and humor are put to good effect and a teachable moment is imparted to his CLIFFORD's son, CLIFFY. There is good reason that THE REPLACEMENT has been produced multiple times. It's terrific. It should also be part of a school's curriculum or anywhere that anti-semitic or bias crimes may occur.

  • Claudia Haas: The Replacement

This is Norkin at his finest. While he challenges the reasons and background for hate, he manages to infuse the play with humanity. Although the play explore the darkest of subjects, Norkin finds some light. Can we sign a petition to get this on stages everywhere? Hate is a choice. So is hope.

  • Adam Richter: The Replacement

Morey Norkin's "The Replacement" is a sharp, cutting satire that expertly dissects the fragility of neo-Nazi false bravado. This story is equal parts humorous and heartfelt, and the ending provides an encouraging sense of hope. Thoughtful theater at its best. Bravo!

  • Alaina Tennant: The Replacement

This is an absolutely hilarious and equally thought-provoking play about the concept of Jewish people "replacing" white nationalists. But deeper, it also has a beautiful message about bringing up children and teaching them to hate - when instead, they can be taught to love. Morey Norkin is so incredibly clever! Every moment in this play is just *chef's kiss*

  • Robert Weibezahl: The Replacement

In this timely dark comedy, Norkin succeeds beautifully at the daunting challenge of battling the worst aspects of our present reality with unexpected humor, in the end leaving us with much needed hope for the future.

  • Lisa Dellagiarino Feriend: The Replacement

Well, I love this. Morey Norkin takes an awful chant and turns it into an amazing play, in which a white supremacist finds that he has, in fact, been replaced in the story of his life by a Jew. A Jewish grandma, to be precise. This short finds humor in a very unlikely place and is an absolute delight.

  • Robert J. LeBlanc: The Replacement

THE REPLACEMENT approaches a dark topic with touching humor and does so wonderfully. There is a timelessness to this timely show. There is too much hatred, too much fear, too many "Cliffords" in this world. This show is the perfect start to dealing with them. So well done.
