MELT is a delightful, surprising play. One of those just when you thought you know where it's going--- it takes you somewhere else. The 2 characters, David and Stacey are fascinating. --- Read it, you'll enjoy it!

A creepy and buoyant play - we can tell something's very wrong from the top, but the buildup is a joy and the payoff at the end is delicious.

Kniess' ten-minute MELT is a delightful dessert of horror comedy! Ice cream truck owners and couple Stacey and David scoop details to the audience casually, then quickly, then all at once. Fantastically paced, with a fun concept and just-creepy-enough premise, MELT would make an amazing addition to any spooky-themed short play festival!

Note: I thought about eating some ice cream while I read this. I'm glad I didn't! ;)

Ahhh! A fabulous, twisty, relationship horror piece that is certain to serve up a delightful mix of laughter and shock to any audience! MELT brings relatable characters, fun circumstances, and a chilling twist to the stage. I dare you not to think of it the next time you hear an ice cream truck...

Crikey Brenton - what have you served up? This is a gem of a piece which switches between a raft of genres before really going for the jugular. Brention Kniess is a writer after my own heart - I have a penchant for this kind of play - and this will make him more and more fans. Cracking stuff from this fabulous writer.

Whoa! This play slowly switched genres on me and I am so here for it! I don't want to give away the (ice cream) twist, but all I can say is, "Don't mess with the family business!"

A fun, little piece that would feel right at home in an evening of short horror. It starts out innocently enough, but a seedling of unease sprouts quickly as your suspicions about the nature of the family business proves to be true. Nice and dark!

Wow. What a sweet twist. This short play is a cozy ride on a familiar ice cream truck that quite abruptly takes a sharp turn into a decidedly dark place. Brenton Kniess crafts very natural dialogue that reels us in, but we get a sense of the danger. Great fun.
