A relatable (and very funny) update to the age-old conflict of Man vs. Machine! An escalating fiasco, full of facts, fiction, and frustration. Works well as an audio and/or stage play!

I laughed out loud so many times reading this! My husband LOVES to argue with our Alexa, so this was actually very familiar. I adore Alexa's snarky attitude and this would be a fun way to show off voice over talent in live theatre. For the actors who prefer to be heard and not seen. Hilarious!

Oh my, my preschooler and Alexa have had these same conversations. While Busser continually ups the ante, I am suddenly aware that a four-year-old is better equipped to deal with Alexa than me. Busser has way too much fun with technology gone rogue and I approve.

There is such manic glee in John Busser's very funny play about technology behaving badly. Alexa's nearly nonstop entries about various subjects are hilarious, especially when they push the character of John to his breaking point. Actors and audiences will love "37 Origami Bees."

The beautiful thing about Busser’s work is his ability to find the comedic in those everyday annoyances.

And then blow them up to the absurd.

We all have those moments of frustration where the appliances ment to make out lives easier completely fail to do so in such a magnificent and glorious way that it can only be said to be open rebellion. Which is what we have here in another of Busser’s fantastic, laugh out loud scripts.

Is AI stupid, or is it just judging you? Either way, the struggle is real. John Busser squeezes every bit of comic juice out of his premise (and sprinkles it with delicious hat-tips and homages for those in the know). Hilariously delivers on the title's promise.

2/4/25 | Seeing two plays with the same name pop up, I was really curious as to what differences we'd encounter and was very pleasantly surprised. John Busser knows the anatomy of an argument and could undoubtedly keep it going for ages, giving a novel voice to a well-known device.

Well this is just plain hysterical. John Busser takes a prompt and turns it into comedy gold. Filled with plenty of IYKYK jokes and great escalation between a human and his AI support system. Now I just really want to hear the song.

Leave it to JOHN BUSSER to write the perfect short play called 37 ORIGAMI BEES. THIS IS PRICELESS! I think these three characters are going to live a complicated but hilarious life together.
