Being from the South has its advantages; being raised as Liberal daughter of a preacher was even a more interesting experience. My plays focus on "what does it mean to be good?" When faced with dilemmas of the conscience, how does one decide? Seldom is there a clear cut answer to our moral challenges. Mt. Everest: leaving a person to die on the summit; the topic of race and homophobia as two women struggle to care for a family member/client; pushing a drug addict out the door--these are some of the topics I explore.
