Such a powerful play told in real time. A play about America's obsession with football and the place that protest has in that sport. George has decided to do something that will impact his life and the lives of the three people closest to him. Those three people each attempt to convince to not go through with his decision. They each make compelling cases and raise questions that audiences will be pondering long after they experience this play.

I got a chance to see a workshop production of this phenomenal play last year. Getting to revisit it on the page reminded why I love this play so much. A play about the expectations we force on young men that just want to be their true selves. These are three very complex and rich characters that are just trying to make sense of their place in the country they call home. Amazing roles for actors of color. This play needs to be produced all over. Necessary questions are being asked here.

A wonderful short play that shows an intimate moment right before a tragedy in world history. This relationship between sisters feels so authentic. Bravo for writing such layered roles for Middle Eastern actresses.

A great short play that explores the relationship between two Middle Eastern-American men. Loved the twist at the end. More opportunities like this for Middle Eastern-American to play roles with humanity and not just one-dimensional terrorists.

Loved this tense moment between friends who live together. We don't need any set up or much backstory. We just need this hysterical and relatable scenario and to let the wonderfully written characters work their magic. A hysterical play that doesn't exactly end neatly but, just like real life, it doesn't need to.
