My work is varied. I tend to be drawn to theatre that uses the stage to go that step beyond total realism; that offers a bit of magic or mystery, whether through language, situation, or setting. I have however, created realistic works, work that draws on biographical study, ensemble-based work, as well as comedy that is broad, or satiric. I am interested in how theatre is moving in directions that are less plot oriented, but that create a mood, a feeling, a focus on a sense of humanity that is felt, not always perfectly explained.
