Working as a director for many years has informed my writing. I have found simple and exciting solutions to staging and hope to convey that simplicity in my scripts. As a director I've long believed in non-traditional casting. As a writer I see every role as open to all ethnicities, genders and gender identities. I am especially excited when directors cast transgender performers in roles that don't specifically emphasize gender identity.
