Although my plays have serious or even tragic subjects (including A Heroin Free Summer), the arc of my plot lines is usually darkly comedic. I often write about topical issuesI to call attention to subjects I feel directly impacted by (I've lose two nephews to the current opioid/heroin epidemic) and sometimes incorporate dramatic monologues into the structure of my plays.
