Artistic Statement

I explore the lives of women shaped by the American Century. My work spans across many genres, including plays, historical fiction and essays. Together, I weave research and narrative to confront societal expectations placed on women in their public and private lives. In particular, I’m drawn to moments when personal history collides with what’s happening on a national level. I believe that ordinary choices can and often do become part of a larger cultural story.
