My work - which ranges from writing, live and audio theater, digital filmmaking, producing and beyond - explores the internet, from its nascent stages to now, and how it has impacted our capacity to connect, grow and engage meaningfully in the world. I approach the stage as a monitor, a tableaux onto which people project their own desires, dreams and fantasies online, these parallel existences we live in together but separately. What do those dreams reveal about who and where we are as humans. Does the tableaux absorb us, and our precious time, in a meaningful way? I'm inspired by DIY theater, cultivating art with nontraditional and experimental artists of different backgrounds, and I am passionate about community building as a means of drawing us all back to the material world. My hope is we learn again to act in the world together, to build the dream for real.
