I write character-based, narrative-driven plays that are generally eccentrically and/or darkly comic. My work is sometimes down to earth and “realistic,” but often incorporates surreal, fantastical, or science fictional elements. Some of my plays take on social or political themes, while others are focused on more existential questions. And sometimes I’ll throw in a few songs.

I try to write the kinds of plays that I find most exciting as a theatergoer--plays that manage to be entertaining and gripping while also being challenging and provocative.
