Artistic Statement

Amiri Baraka once said, " We want poems that kill." Like a dirty floor, I don't want to create words that you feel comfortable eating off of. I want germ words, true words, scary words, dirty words. I don't want pretty musical words: we already have enough of that and more to come. I want to write words that reflect the daily horror I, and many others, experience wearing this skin. I'm looking to create a theatre that allows us to reflect on the experiences and cultures we as a society try to wash away.
