"To Tell the Truth, Mainly" is new and has no production history yet. Likewise the Wharton adaptations. "The Real Househusbands of Vermont" has had three productions.
The Mark Twain adaptations have a longer history. Six are currently in circulation. Five are 10-minute plays and one is a 50-minute play (The Man That Corrupted Hadleyburg). The plays can be presented in isolation or in any combination. All of the adaptations try to capture the characters, comedy, tone, theme, and general plot of the originals. The plays had a staged reading in the Mark Twain House auditorium in Hartford, Connecticut, in 2016. (The photo shows the cast--14 community theater actors from central Connecticut with director Chris Bushey peeking from the back row.) Individual plays have had staged readings or productions in eight U. S. states and Canada, South Africa, New Zealand, China, and France (in French translation).
