I constantly seek to evolve my playwriting while keeping an eye out for social relevance.

As a human being, I think it’s inevitable that art is a reaction to the world around oneself. Being aware of what’s going on in the world, both socially/politically and also in the world of art, stimulates and challenges me as an artist. When I go to the theater, I want to be inspired by what I see. I especially love innovation in the components of theater--text, acting, set lighting etc. Someone once said to me there were only a certain number of story plots. Perhaps that’s true, but there are a million ways to tell them.
