  • After the Prologue

A completely charming tale told in verse (iambic pentameter no less) with a lesson on it (iambic pentameter) and a lesson for us all (feminist) without being preachy, this adaptation of Chaucer and one of King Arthur's tales is most enjoyably written and would be a wonderfully theatrical piece!

LOVE this! So true, so real, so succinct! Carol clearly has a great understanding of the form of the 1MP and the politics of this issue - parenting today - this is this-minute, eye-opening, and funny!

Lovely sweet parable that helps us all understand so much about life, the enormity of being human with other humans -- it is a play that enlarges our lives.
  • All Together Now
    4 Feb. 2017
Well-written, funny, sweet play that celebrates the advances we've made in defining families -- the single mom, the lesbian mom, the two gay dads, and the straight parents - versions of loving ones (onstage) and versions of homophobic ones (left obscene, where they should be -- offstage) -- and it's not all tidy, so it feels quite real.

I love how this play gives us a view into Emma Goldman's heart. Very enjoyable in that Bell really gets the sex in Goldman's life right! As a woman full of contradictions, I love how this play shows a different side of Emma Goldman, a side we rarely see in plays about her along with all the history.
  • Icebox Placenta (a monologue for women)
    13 Dec. 2016
Very funny piece about a subject we don't hear enough about -- the placenta! Great for an evening of monologues about women and our issues. . . and so great for so many actors. . .

Fabulous and funny -- this play has everything you need for a fun night out on the town with much to consider and chew on afterwards at any local watering hole. An easy-to-mount hilarious tale told with such charm, love and great theatricality, marvelous props, deep metaphors, and suspense! LOVE it!
  • Sam and Dede or My Dinner with Andre the Giant
    24 Jul. 2016
Really enjoyed this play! Sweet and funny exploration of the human desire to be known/to be left alone, why we do what we do, understanding ourselves/life v. questioning -- a philosophical play about aesthetics (Beckett v. popular entertainment) and life -- could not ask for more!
  • Always Plenty of Light at the Starlight All Night Diner
    11 Jul. 2016
The most fun you can have in a play -- dinosaurs, time travel, and queer romance -- this diner play lifts off (literally) into the stratosphere and lands beautifully -- enjoy!

Wonderfully written and conceived -- as a life-changing event! Highly recommended as the kind of theatre that exists in the minds of the audience and then begins to turn our minds toward new possibilities in our own lives without a hint of preach! Not so much a puzzle or a mystery as a pleached path one might walk with a friend from misty fog to an un-fogging, to the beautiful possibility that any of us could untangle ourselves from the cultural hegemony of any day. Bravo!
