Becky MacDormand

Becky MacDormad is a playwright, screenwriter, and director working in and around Vancouver, BC. She graduated with her M.F.A in Writing for Stage and Screen from New Hampshire Institute of Art where she wrote three plays and one screenplay. Her play, "Dark Am I, Yet Lovely" won the 2017 Novitiate Award through Alberta's Playwriting Competition and she recently won first place with the Golden Script Competition for her screenplay, "Early Retirement". When she's not writing or directing she is teaching at Trinity Western University in Langley, BC or spending time with her amazing children.

Synopsis

Someone is trying to cause the Abner Theatre's production of "Devotion" to fail. But who? The narcoleptic costume designer, the fading, primadonna lead, the drunk director, or the assistant stage manager desperate to perform on stage? Everyone seems to have their reasons and in this wildly outrageous farce, all are suspect as prank after prank is pulled.
