A lovely play about self acceptance and how we manage our “baggage” during different stages of our lives. Warm and hopeful, without being overly sweet. Well done.
  • Wolves of Sherwood(Sherwood Cycle #3)
    7 Dec. 2019
A new twist on the classic tale of Robin Hood and Marion. Intrigue, battles, and romance. This large cast play is an excellent choice for a high school production. Refreshing to see so many solid female roles in this genre.

Another brilliant play by Ian August. A glimpse of what happens when someone is juggling life and the unthinkable. We come to love Donna and her unwitting humor, so when she reaches her breaking point, we want to wrap her in our arms. I was fortunate to see this show performed in Philly by Sabrina Profit and cried. Well done.
  • A SHELL OF WHO SHE ONCE WAS
    11 Oct. 2019
The devastation of loss is so thick in this play, you can almost taste it. As Carol grasps for something to help her understand, she is treated with simple empathy. Burdick gives hope in the wake of the shared and senseless tragedy through humanity.
  • SH*T TRAIN
    11 Oct. 2019
Clever, funny, and frightening. “Sh*t Train is a dark satire of office life and employer/employee relationships. In this fast paced world, there are so many rules, there are no rules. This play is for everyone who has had a psycho boss — which is just about everyone.
  • Which Way to the Beach

Fun twists and turns in this family play. Parents have been embarrassing their children since beginning of time, but love and acceptance transcend the cringes. Well done.
  • COACH BECKY: A LITTLE LEAGUE T-BALL MONOLOGUE
    4 Oct. 2019
Asher Wyndham is a master at bringing a character to life in just a few short paragraphs. A perfect audition piece or addition to an evening of shorts. We all know a Coach Becky, which makes this such a fun piece.
  • WOLFCRUSH (a queer werewolf play)
    4 Oct. 2019
Hayden-Brice Walker has created another high energy, crazy, funny play that you cannot stop reading. But the best part is the authentic humanity and the universal desires of the characters. Read. Produce.

From the very first word, Ian August grabs his audience and takes them on a breathless ride. Where is the eye of sanity in this hurricane of insanity? This play is rich with overflowing emotions and desires and a desparate search for human connection. With all the emotional upheaval, there is a satisfying ray of hope.

Lovely, sweet story that unfolds gently with surprising twists. We need this family — flawed, awkward, and loving — in our lives. I didn’t want the play to end, although the ending was perfect.
