  • With Spielberg and Mozart, you know what you're getting. And so, with Higbee. Very funny. Satirical. Mind twisting. Engaging. A journey with twists and turns that lead you back to the beginning, and then you start again. What fun!!! Hope you love cookies, champagne and caviar. I did.

  • Want to laugh? "Mom, what’s the lunch special today?"...."Same as yesterday. Meatloaf with mashed potatoes and green beans. I got a ton left over."... "Okay, we’ll call it “vintage cuisine.” Wonderful snapshot of a little place we all know. Anyone who's anyone is there enjoying one of those famous sweet rolls over a discussion of immigration and Jesus--of course. A great piece of Americana which Philip does so well. And yes, I lied about reading all of War & Peace and what the hell is spago? lol

  • John defines my perfect type of healthy relationship: "I want to go home. I want to go back to a quiet place where I don’t have to pretend to be...pretending...I want to sit in silence, with the shade down. I don’t want to let any more light in." Relationships when no one is listening. Those are the ones I'm best at. Awesome, John. Thanks for letting me know I'm not alone, though I like being alone. Life happens. lol

  • I just read this play again and I have to comment....again. This play takes you to places your soul often resists. Look, don't look, stare, don't stare. Do your job or save a life. What is right and what is just morbidly sad. Is empathy your job? Are you human? A must read.

  • Tom David Barna: The Macbethest Christmas Pageant Spectaculathon...Ever!

Ho ho ho! Don't choke on your popcorn, this one is one amazing laugh after another. Imagine, Lady MacBeth and Mrs. Santa Claus with a common love interest. Imagine Elves gone wild. Imagine Santa as a mean old man with more than toys for little girls and boys on his mind. Trust me...you can't imagine all the fun you'll have with this one. Loved it!

  • Tom David Barna: Gravestones

Walking amongst headstones in the middle of the night is never a good thing....is it? Never-the-less Ross Tedford Kendall takes you on such a stroll surely to scare up something unexpected. And there will be ghosts...right? But who am I to spoil the story? The perfect short play to hold hands by...nicely done!

  • Tom David Barna: Tabloid

So what do you get when you mix a singing ghost in chains, a Chia Pet based on alien technology, a sleaze queen you just have to love (I know I do), fake news, innuendos, lots of secrets and more rumors and gossip mongering than you can shake a stick at? Oh and did I mention songs, dancing and dark humor? And please don’t tell me there will be redemption….but who am I to spoil a great story? Tabloid by Marta Jorgensen is a journey you have to take. A must read. A must show.

  • Tom David Barna: Lifting the Fog of War

A must read. A short play dripping with tension from beginning to end. It's real? It's not real? Can't be real. Tell me this isn't real. It will probably piss you off....because it might be real. It's not what you think...the human condition can be pretty tricky, but Joe has a way of tip-toeing through the mind field while leaving you shaking in your boots.

  • Tom David Barna: The Sugar Ridge Rag

Ohhhhh my! You think you know the story...you don't. You think you can anticipate the characters...you won't. You think you can put it down half way through...but don't even think about it. The Sugar Ridge Rag by Philip Middleton Williams is a moving, heartfelt snap shot in to a by-gone era. It was a time of war, a time of preconceived notions a time to remember and Philip takes you there and lands you softly. You think you can predict how the story ends...but you won't. It's a story you DON'T want to end...
