  • This is an interesting, entertaining play. The two characters are folklore characters, but it works as a dark comedy even if you don't know that. It's continually engaging and the audience doesn't know where it's going. Excellent pacing and dialogue. A fun play with many layers.

  • This is a continually interesting play, with a good topic and believable characters. It’s imaginative and lingers on the mind. I’d like to see it produced.

  • This play has all the elements. I would love to see it produced. The characters are strongly written, the visuals are good, the story is interesting. You don't know where the plot is going, but you know that the playwright is a high-quality writer and the play will land in a good place. And the title lets you know that it has a happy ending. (The ending is not sappy, fortunately.)

  • I had never heard of Cuban ballet dancer Alicia Alonso until I read this play. She was a fascinating woman with a fascinating life! This play does an excellent job explaining her formidable will and serious eye problems and sheer tenacity to dance. Good narrative structure. I would love to see this play produced.

  • I loved this play! Ruby, the robotic companion (RC) who wants nothing more than to find a Forever Home, is such a sweet, delightful character. I wanted to buy Ruby and bring her home with me! I kept wondering why the writing of this play affected me so much. I'm still not sure exactly why. But this play knows what it wants to say and it says it well. The play seems to be simple but it shows the human condition and expresses humans' current fears about the future. I would love to see it produced.

  • Vicki Meagher: CITY MICE

I saw a production of this play in Santa Fe, New Mexico recently and was intrigued by the plot and the mix of characters. The four adult characters were all doing life assessment and not entirely liking what they saw. But they forged ahead, mistakes and all. It was a pleasure to see a sold-out show and a crowd absorbed in the play and hanging on to every word.

  • Vicki Meagher: Gun Play

I saw this play at an eight-play festival in New Mexico and for me it was the hit of the festival.

The story is told at a slant and I didn't realize until the very end exactly what was being said and done.

A stylized, gripping, well written play with a message with a punch at the end.

  • Vicki Meagher: Philosophic Dialogs During First Trump

This is a delightful play if you enjoy dark comedy and intellectual banter (which I do). Act Two (the alternative) is completely different from Act One, but has some clever continuity of dialog and action. I'm not sure which one I prefer, though both are plausible and understandable. This is an "ideas" play but the characters seem like real, somewhat complex people. I would love to see this play performed.

  • Vicki Meagher: In This House

This is a compelling play that takes us to surprising places. The four characters are all strongly developed and they manage to draw us in even when they're doing things that are not admirable. The South Boston setting is vivid and believable. At the end, I was cheering all four of them on.

  • Vicki Meagher: Sound Mind

This monologue is a good melding of comedy and melodrama, showing the character's personality and spunk in the end game: Sam is promising to be a handful even in the afterlife.
