The most serious things in life make me laugh. It’s not that I take the human struggle lightly, but I’m continually astonished by the gap between how we present ourselves and the truths of our behavior. As a playwright, I dramatize my sense of what it means to be alive today—a flawed being at a given point on the infinite continuum of possibility—in ways that I hope will surprise, delight, and move my collaborators and audiences.
