Artistic Statement

The first step is the heart of one's story, then comes the structure, then the passion. You start with the idea, then find the way to build it, and let you passion run wild. Once it learns to run and knows it can go far, then only half the work is done. A good narrative struggles to gain its footing without its own reason to engage. Theatre is not a passive event or something absorbed through the skin, but with the eyes. It is active. It is passionate. It is alive. And writing, of any kind, must live from the moment words hit the page. Without life in the work, then a great story cannot be lived.
