Sophie is a New York—based playwright whose work has been developed by the Chain Theatre, Pioneer Theatre Company, the Boston Theater Marathon, and the Unicorn Theatre. She is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and currently working toward her MFA in playwriting at Columbia University.

It is 1963, and robotic engineer Martin has brought a prototype robot named Nora—the most authentically humanoid model created to date—to his home in the suburbs of Chicago to help take care of his house and children to make up for the lackluster parenting efforts of his wife. His daughter Ruth is unnerved by the robot, and even more unnerved by its uncanny similarities to her real mother.
