  • Nathan Christopher: Protocols

This is a really clever and absorbing play both about our current pandemical situation and not about it at all. I enjoyed the tension between the siblings; totally relatable. And the emotional arc is pitch perfect.

  • Nathan Christopher: Antoine at the Border

This is such a delightful play! The rhythm of the dialogue is perfection, as is the humor. Bringing characters to vibrant life is never easy (especially when they are real, historical ones) and Rader creates such wonderful, fully realized ones in this 10-minute work. Really well done!

  • Nathan Christopher: Transcodicil

I admit I didn't know what a "codicil" was before reading this play, and what a fun way to learn! Dakutis has written a unique take on tolerance, balancing a serious issue with humor and heart. The build to the ultimate reveal here is very well-paced; that's not easy to do in a short work!

  • Nathan Christopher: CHOICES

CHOICES is a clever, bite-size whodunit. If you like mysteries and thrillers, you'll like this play. There's a lot of room for the actors to have fun with these roles and the dialogue has a nice snap to it. Kudos to Mr. Levine for writing a tight 10-minute mystery -- that couldn't have been easy!

  • Nathan Christopher: Make It Stop: A Christmas Play

This is a delightful holiday-themed comedy! Some of the lines have even more resonance now given our political and pandemical situation. And, as an added bonus, you too may get the song lodged in your head. Two days for me so far!

  • Nathan Christopher: Right For The Part

"Right for the Part" is great fun! It accelerates from awkward audition to madcap desperation so wonderfully. And who wouldn't want to have the chance to play roles like these?

  • Nathan Christopher: One-Shot

This play about Big Topics is told on a compellingly human scale. Kudos to Rosendorf for creating a story that resonates far beyond the walls (and windows) of this video store in then-America and into now-America, which is so different and not different at all with regard to love, race, entitlement, legality, faith, fear, and what it means to grow up here.

  • Nathan Christopher: BLOODLUST (Halloween - Horror)

This is all kinds of fun. It's an off-the-wall zany sexy macabre over-the-top little delight. And I'm sure it's a blast for the actors. (And Snickers is the best candy bar, no contest.)

  • Nathan Christopher: THIS HALLOWEEN IS FOR THE LADIES, a short play

I was looking to read a Halloween play and this is a great one for right now. Nice realistic relationship between a mother and her daughter who are trying to make the best of this pandemic. The scares come from what's (still) happening in the world these women inhabit (from COVID to inequality), which is a clever counterpoint to the "normalcy" they are trying to create over Zoom.

  • Nathan Christopher: The Home for Retired Canadian Girlfriends

This play is a delight, and the gentle pokes at Canada and pop culture are spot on. Great use of both humor and advocacy to inspire and remind us to be true to ourselves above all.
