This play is a fun take on office politics and corporate (and governmental) bureaucracy told in a very amusing way. The dialogue is snappy, and the bewildering acronyms are a clever device used well. LOL!

  • Nathan Christopher: TOUCH THE MOON - full-length play, 5 characters

I was lucky enough to have a piece in a recent festival where another of Arianna's works was featured, and the difference between that play [The Sanity Clauset] and Touch the Moon really demonstrates the remarkable range she has as a playwright. Touch the Moon is such a beautifully heartbreaking work that, sadly, is reality for too many. I read it with a lump in my throat that still hasn't gone away.

  • Nathan Christopher: a/in/the/of

This is a touching and poignant play about a moment in (not "the" moment "of," ha) the life of two sisters. Will they grow closer? Will they grow apart? Who can say. Right now, it's very satisfying to just listen to them talk for a bit.

  • Nathan Christopher: Remembered

So much richness in so short a work! There's a wonderful sense of melancholy in this play balanced by some delightful, gentle humor. And these two well-defined characters speak many truths, each of which made me pause for a minute to consider. I'd happily have a cup of lavender tea and listen to them chat all afternoon.

  • Nathan Christopher: cara has a hole in her head

This is an incredibly satisfying play -- the characters are 3D, the setting is perfect, and the balance between despair and humor is right on. This is a unique take on who we are and what we do to each other told in a pleasingly macabre and tender way.

  • Nathan Christopher: CASE CLOSED

Such a perfectly chilling, heartbreaking piece! Lermond's language perfectly renders these characters in three dimensions. It's a deliberately short work but it's long on resonance. Thumbs up!

  • Nathan Christopher: Sitting and Talking: a Play for Zoom

There are so many things I like about Lia's work -- the creativity, the realistic dialogue, the 3D characters are just a few -- and all of those are present here. What I really enjoy about this play is that she articulates so well the thoughts, feelings and anxieties about this current pandemic that I can't put into words. Reading the script, I often found myself saying, "You're describing exactly what I'm feeling!" and "That's what I've been struggling to say!" Although many of us may be lonely right now, the play notes, we're not alone.

  • Nathan Christopher: The House

I recently heard a reading of this short play and wanted to go back and read the script. This is a fun and spooky little sequel to Hansel and Gretel set in the present. It's a good play to peel apart because it's so thematic -- end of childhood, loss of innocence, the importance of closure, the bonds of family...lots to discuss!

  • Nathan Christopher: These Mortal Hosts

I recently heard a reading of select scenes from this play and immediately had to read the entire work. It's fantastic material for actors -- so rich and wry and real. Small-town America has never seemed so welcoming and revolting at the same time. This is an extremely satisfying blend of thriller, portrait and love story.

  • Nathan Christopher: Dark King Kills Unicorn

This is a delightfully dark play that I'd love to see on stage. It's thrilling to experience love, war, honor, and pride distilled through just three characters. While the play is small, the themes resonate in a big way. And who doesn't like unicorns, the ultimate mythical figure?
