  • Paint my room Hope (a 10 minute play)

This play is arrestingly tender, while also embracing its absurdist, magical elements. I would LOVE to see this staged!
  • entangled black holes (10 Minute Play)
    27 Sep. 2020
A warm moment of reconciliation and connection, enhanced with snappy dialogue and whip-smart intentions.
  • Commencement (a 10 minute play)

A very sweet play that will assuredly resonate deeply with young audiences!

A common exercise in early playwriting courses is to write the short "revenge play." Find the person, place, institution, higher power, anything(!) that you would like to zip-tie to a chair and punish, and let the words flow. (Just as long as it doesn't lead to actual realized bloodshed, of course!) This short play serves as an excellent example of the cathartic release underlying this process, and imbues the exercise with the much-needed undercurrent of a political call to action. Mr. Delin's work is instructive and eminently performable. Bravo.

An absolutely lovely example of theater in an exploded moment. Bravo!

The first ten pages of this play--the sample's offering--are incredibly compelling. I hope I have the opportunity to read or see this play in its entirety one day!
  • Stitched with a Sickle and a Hammer
    23 Apr. 2020
Inna Tsyrlin's gorgeous play introduced me to a historical event that I admittedly knew very little about prior to encountering this piece. Between stirring monologues, characters that leap off the page, and a constant sense of tension, Stitched with a Sickle and a Hammer will stay with you long after the curtain falls.
  • Cercle Hermaphroditos
    29 Mar. 2020
A stunning play! The characters spring to life, and the pages soar! It is not at all surprising to see why the O'Neill chose Cercle as a finalist piece. I eagerly look forward to seeing it produced one day.

This short and sweet piece accentuates the effectiveness of the Aristotelian elements of "language/diction" and "spectacle." The power of this piece lies in its playful yet biting words, and its rawness of imagery, particularly in a few quick scenes that need no words, and yet speak volumes.

There is every thing to love about this piece. A spark of magic. It is simply beautiful. There's nothing else that needs to be said. Just read it!
