  • YOU, ME, AND ENNUI

You, Me, and Ennui will lull you into a false sense of security in the opening pages. To be sure, the play begins with a bit of comedic hi-jinx, peppered with witty banter, to seduce you into believing that you are experiencing a breezy comedy. Reader Beware: This opening romp quickly and effectively transitions into a complex drama tackling significant themes of family, love, friendship, age, and, of course, ennui (feline or otherwise!). Kara Krantz has carefully crafted four characters who will stay with you long after the final stage directions. Bravo!

I just came home from seeing this play produced at East West Players. Needless to say, I will be thinking about it for a looooong time. Like all of Anna's work, this is a play that needs to be produced in as many theaters as possible.

    Bravo Anna!!!

Equal parts hilarious and gut-wrenchingly poignant, With is a phenomenal play that offers terrific roles for seasoned actors.

This play is simply extraordinary. It transitions seamlessly from a witty social commentary to a dystopian nightmare the likes of which would chill Margaret Atwood. The writing is aimed to the top of its audience's intelligence, and offers room for spirited debate and discussion afterwards! I look forward to continuing to see/read any and all work penned by Anna Moench.
