My mission as an artist is to give voice to the marginalized female+ identity, if not to reclaim a sacred place in literature—and in theatre especially—for historical and contemporary women of all ages, shapes and sizes, and from diverse racial backgrounds and sexual orientations. I write plays with primarily female+ roles and from a working-class female+ perspective.
