I love this play! Can't recommend it enough. It's funny, tender, scary and oh so moving. Two adult half-brothers explore how to navigate each other and their relationship with their late father. The perfect mix of myth, ritual and release.

This script had my at the ax and held on to me tight until the end. The action in this script calls for phenomenal theatrical spectacles that I want to see live. The characters are great - the adult sisters relationship is wonderful to watch unfold. The animal statues! The cult! If you are looking for a thrilling stage-play western that just nails it, read this, watch this, produce this!

This script keeps the high energy and humor rolling throughout- well done! Marisol and Nicholas are my favs though it is rightly Gwen's show. I feel for her deeply as she strives for her funniness to be taken seriously. Utterly ridiculous and always hysterical. And there's math!

I immensely admire the way Dawes has her characters speak. The rhythm, word choice, humor, and, underneath it all, heart, are all SPOT ON! At a quick glance, this could be mistaken as a transcript for an utterly juice-y episode, but on a closer look, you can see all the wonderful catastrophes hammering away at the edges of this reality TV bubble to remind us of bigger questions. Well done!! Can't wait for more episodes!

This script is filled with funny and endearing moments and lines like, “You’re describing my organs like they’re Canada.” It ends with the most perfect stage direction, “Everything’s going to be alright.”

A heartfelt monologue from a teacher reflecting on time, gender, lessons, sexuality, sense of self and writing.

Anticipation - makes me wonder about the character’s follow-through. Well done!

I can feel this scene, viscerally. Something good is going to come.
