I write about things that disturb me, details I notice that won't let me sleep at night until they find their way into a place and time populated by people I've never met. I enjoy the process of getting to know my characters by writing them by listening to what they have to say. They sometimes shock and disturb me. But without fail, they make me laugh and give me hope for a better world. Although if neatly wrapped happy ever after endings are your thing, skip me. You won't find those in any of my plays.
