  • The Cliffs of Paris
    29 Jun. 2019
A woman eating a dessert while on holiday with her husband in Paris has lessons to teach him about sex and pleasure. Provocative and not for the faint of heart!
  • MAID TO MEASURE...A TEN MINUTE PLAY
    29 Jun. 2019
This play has a surprise halfway through when we find out the man who goes to his successful friend for help about his wife really wants a robot to replace her - and his friend seems to be in a position to offer that! A somewhat sci-fi story...
  • JOEY...A TEN-MINUTE PLAY
    29 Jun. 2019
A touching play about children from the Border conflict. I liked the imagery Joey uses about his long-lost mother. The use of four space-shifting Speakers to represent political points of view is highly effective.
  • Snow
    28 Jun. 2019
A play about strangely disconnected people, who are "snowed" by sex. Four people come and go, talking about their unfortunate love lives. Interesting work about human frailty and being young enough to not know where you're headed in relationships.
  • SOME AMERICAN DAD: A MONOLOGUE
    24 Jun. 2019
A frustrated Dad explains to the friends of his twin children why his kids are being home-schooled. Emotional and comprehensive in detail, it's about the dangers of children being present in an actual school - well done, Asher Wyndham.
  • Self Preservation
    22 Jun. 2019
A 10-minute play with dark undertones. At a taxidermist's office, sex is in the air...but what becomes of the taxidermist when a customer loves him too much? Maybe something awful... Good work from Christine Foster, with an interesting monologue at the end.
  • Asking For It
    18 Jun. 2019
A short serio-comedy where a female hit-and-run victim gets peppered with immaterial questions by the officer who arrives on the scene...was she eating chips when it happened? Was she smoking pot? Was she trying to look "attractive"? Gives one pause to think about the accusations a woman might face in this situation...and the problem is NOT resolved at the play's end! Interesting short script about distrust.
  • #WeToo: a dialogue
    16 Jun. 2019
A tight, short script where two old friends recount experiences with sexual abuse...skillfully done with the actors who are playing the "abusees" changing roles into the abusers...quite moving.
  • It's Special
    12 Jun. 2019
A shocking play, however brief, about gun violence in schools. Clara clearly loves and appreciates her mother - as her mother does, her - but it is the end of this very, very short play that strikes such a chord with those who worry about their kids' safety.
  • Smile, Baby
    12 Jun. 2019
As a woman who got sick and tired of being told to "smile" by total strangers when I lived in New York City, this story of a woman being harrassed rang true. Very short but pithy.
