Delightful! A witty approach to the power dynamics of deities. Very well crafted characters in a humorous, yet believable, omnipotent scene.

  • Christopher Soucy: Another Part of the Field

Well, Francis Boyle just broke my heart. In the end, all we would want is to not be alone. This battlefield drama plays out as a reminder of the brevity of life and the necessity of human connection. Bravo to the playwright.

  • Christopher Soucy: Return to Mother's Nest

I am sufficiently creeped out. This is a play that is ready to get invested in quickly. The dead build so slowly that you barely notice it before it has a stranglehold on you. Great writing.

  • Christopher Soucy: Ghost Cat

There is a beautiful metaphor at work here. The inability to communicate with a parent is a true of passage for everyone. Here Caitlin Strom-Martin crafts a deeply profound conflict rooted in the dynamics a mother/daughter relationship.

  • Christopher Soucy: The Snatchening

What a thrill ride! Strangely intimate and global at the same time, this play infests your mind like a virus. A dreadful conspiracy theory that seems so simple at the start, turns to panic-inducing complexity quickly and relentlessly. If you ever wondered how the world would end, with a bang or a whimper, the answer lurks in the cloud.

  • Christopher Soucy: The Conversos of Venice

What a well crafted, thoughtful exploration on the events that follow the end of The Merchant of Venice. One of Shakespeare’s most popular works leaves many questions unanswered, Ian Thal proposes exciting and heartfelt takes on the destinies of Shakespeare’s esteemed characters. I would love to see this performed in tandem with Merchant of Venice.

  • Christopher Soucy: DOUGLAS DOOLEY: A GAMING MONOLOGUE

This monologue tackles an epidemic of nerd culture. I hope this is happening out there more and more. We need more gates open and less gatekeepers. This would make a great short film shot at a con.

  • Christopher Soucy: Amber

I love all things Cryptid. It’s hard to create an onstage look at the fervor that surrounds urban legends. The Mothman is one of the best creatures to highlight because of its prophetic properties. Bravo to Cole Hunter Dzubak for crafting ng a captivating tale of mystery.

  • Christopher Soucy: Frailty, Thy Name

I am an unabashed lover of Shakespeare. I love any exploration behind the lines and action detailed to us in his works. Scott Sickles is a joy to read. Every play of his I’ve read is elaborately performed by a cast of players that reside forever in the repertory theater in my mind. FRAILTY, THY NAME gives us a peek behind the tapestries, not the safest place, but perhaps the best place to get the whole story.
