  • What really surprised me and struck me about this piece was how funny it was! It actually deals with a serious subject and has a very compelling premise, but the dialogue to bone dry and full of acerbic wit. I kept finding myself laughing out loud, despite myself. The writing is tight and the characters are expertly drawn. Williams has written so many wonderful plays over the years, it is no surprise that this play is also a treasure to behold!

  • I was absolutely blown away by the brilliant writing of John Adams. After I saw this, I asked him what he was smoking and if I could please have two! Simply the most original and innovative thing I've seen in a long time. This play will not be for everyone, and it is not exactly family friendly. It does touch upon, among other things, drug use, infidelity, "fondling", cannibalism, inter-species erotica, and extraterrestrial conquest. Damn, what a ride! Thank you John. I will never forget your play!

  • A historically important play that tells the real story of the first man to racially integrate the south. Robert's extensive research sheds light on a forgotten civil rights leader, all while creating a wildly entertaining play. I laughed often and at the end was moved by the awesome achievements of on Roscoe "Sputnik' Monroe. This is a perfect blend of history, sports, and civil engagement. It makes the audience think while it entertains. A truly magnificent play!

  • Perhaps the most original play in the "spooky/horror" genre I have ever seen. Triplett use of sound and light cues augment drum tight dialogue to build incredible tension. This play would be easy to stage and perform while providing maximum discomfort and chills for the audience. A perfect Halloween play or for any stage looking to explore the dark. Think "twilight zone episode" but better!

  • An absolutely beautify play written by the deft hand of the author of sixteen books of poetry! Rabas' script simply sings while delivery a brutal portrayal of romantic frustration and mental illness. You will never forget these characters, and while the journey they are on remains unresolved, their struggle for beauty and personal meaning remains universal and very moving. Just a great read for any theater wishing to explore obsessive compulsive behavior and bi-polar disorder. Basically, this a ten minute version of "Next To Normal" without the music, though the prose itself is entirely...

  • William J. Goodwin: A LITTLE MAGIC

Awww. Just that. Awww! A wonderful, heartfelt, magical tale of people connecting, and at least connecting with the parts of themselves they have forgotten. I absolutely fell in love with these characters and would love to see this staged. What fun! Thank you, Scott!

  • William J. Goodwin: In the Heist

An almost perfect kids play. Funny, a little edgy but then totally sweet and charming. Just really well conceived and executed. I'm so glad I found this. Thank you, Allie!

  • William J. Goodwin: Christmas Spirits

Great set up. Two characters (Past and present) each get future alone and reveal their side of a relationship turning sour. Future has to counsel them without solving all their problems. A nice exploration of time, interdependence, and what's really important. Also, a very clean play that would generate a lot of discussion in an ELA class! Thank you, Emily!

  • William J. Goodwin: Meet the Family

One word: Funny! Or more than one word: laugh out loud funny. Reminded me a bit of the movie Young Frankenstein. A nice, clean, FUNNY, little sketch. Perfect for young actors! Thank you, Kate!

  • William J. Goodwin: 23 and Bree (from the THE WRINKLE RANCH AND OTHER PLAYS ABOUT GROWING OLD collection)

A complicated play with one character living simultaneously in two time periods. Still, though, the play is easy to follow and quite powerful. Interesting concept, the idea of locking away a secret in your mind, only to be undone by dementia and a dna test! Well written and superbly executed!
