  • William J. Goodwin: Death's Defeat

A real gut punch. Emotionally charged and powerful. Yet, there is a bit of hope that the next world might be better than this one. This somehow ends of an upbeat. Very, very well done. Thank you, Diana!

  • William J. Goodwin: The Naughty List

Wow! This is a perfect little spoof. Funny, interesting. Kept my attention all the way through. Edgy, yet clean Perfect for middle or high school actors. Entertaining without being way out there or blue. Just a nice little play and that made me laugh. Thanks, Robert!

  • William J. Goodwin: To The Moon!

Great dialogue and totally unique conflict! Funny but also smart. Also, a clean script, for those us teaching kids! Thank you, Lisa!

  • William J. Goodwin: 1 in 30 million (a monologue)

Great little monologue. Perfect for kids. Interesting and funny and totally unique, with a bit of a surprise ending. Just a treasure, especially if you're looking for school appropriate monologues that are actually good! Thank you Lee!

  • William J. Goodwin: Bottle Episode

Stunning. Memorable. One of the most unique things I've ever read. Weird, but kept my attention. I genuinely wanted to know what would happen to the bottle. Would he be recycled? Would he be shattered? I did NOT see the end coming and what a surprise at the end. Just an all around fantastic work and would be GREAT for contest. It is the best of what live theater should be. Meaningful yet fun, and done in a way that can only be done on a stage. Not a staged movie. A real play. Good Job!

  • William J. Goodwin: Rules for Writing A Romantic Comedy

Wow! This is a tour de force of comic brilliance! It is a master class on how to write a blockbuster romcom, as well as a wickedly fun poke in the eye of the Hollywood machine.

My only knock is that much of the humor relies on name dropping of current Hollywood hotties. Movie nerds will totally fall on their asses laughing, but it does date the piece. I'm sure, though, the author would give permission to change the names to more current celebs if needed. Overall, a VERY FUNNY MONOLOGUE!

  • William J. Goodwin: Ripped

A great play, especially for competition. It is light and fun but packs a serious message for young adults. It is a strong modern re-telling and re-imagination of the classic Rip Van Winkle tale. It is easy to stage and can be flexibly cast. Just the perfect play for one-act competitions and festivals. The perfect topic, the perfect genre, the perfect length, the perfect set, all to create the perfect score! Thank you, Mr. Robert!

  • William J. Goodwin: The Last Shore Trip

"God, I want to feel like this forever..." With that one line, Osmundsen weaves a spell of friendship and heartbreak, triumph and loss. Covering ten years in ten pages, this play seamlessly joins memories into a coherent and compelling narrative. I felt like I knew these characters. I felt like I wanted to be friends with these characters. I felt like I wanted to cry with these characters. The Last Shore Trip is as tasty as any piece of key lime salt water taffy.

  • William J. Goodwin: A Tree Grows in Longmont

An impressive and ambitious work! Covering years in mere pages, Williams makes wonderful use of sound cues, music, and lighting to transport his audience through a lifetime of memories. It is drama and meta drama, fiction and meta fiction, fact and meta fact. A true masterwork.
