  • Memorial Day (Full Length)

I remember those days with such sadness. This play brings back all the horror of first, the unknown, and then the knowing, the helplessness, the loss of so many talented men. And the love, don't forget about the love.

We all remember being that boy or girl wanting the attention, but not knowing exactly how to get it. This story within a story is delightful without a word being spoken. The characters are clearly drawn and the story/play unfolds in real time. So clever.

The hell of being single...I could feel the horror of being in the room with the accountant. He probably doesn't bathe either. A great monologue for a middle aged woman.
  • HEY, EMILY DICKINSON, I GOT A CHEESESTICK! A One-Minute Play for Two Kids

The simplicity of this piece fools us at first, as we discover it holds so much information. A moment in time that solves two problems at once. Beautiful and warmly written.

Gwydion brought me into the room with this piece. I even felt the lights dim and then lighten up as time went on. This play couldn't be more current. I started questioning my beliefs in the middle of the piece. Take the time to review this piece of theatre and you'll think differently.

I love plays that are quirky, and this is one of them. Mamie falls in love in a week and wants to marry Grover. Their time together is limited though, and you'll never guess why. A funny, clever play that even quotes Robert Frost.

Ouch! This snippet of a play hits hard, especially with the current politics and our daily lives so restricted. Franky is such a clever writer!
  • The Flying Dutchman Boards the Staten Island Ferry

This is such a creative and sweet piece. I love combining the opera with a modern romance...two guys not able to take the next step to commitment. He creates a clear picture of the ferry, the opera and two disparate guys finding their way. Add a lonely ghost and you have a delicious piece of theatre.

This play is joyful and horrible in two acts. The scenes in Germany are frightening because they ring of now. The characters are endearing and vicious. Let us not repeat this horror.
  • The Age of Understanding or, The Character of Dad

I just read this short play after having heard it at the Mid-America Theatre Conference this weekend. This is one hell of a moving piece. Every parent will recognize themselves in this beautifully honest and real slice of life about caring for and loving their child. Franky, as always, goes deep into the heart of his pain. I wept again.
