From friendship to love, Lashof captures the relationship between Briseis and Chryseis with Sapphic lyricism. The dialog captures painfully their difficult decision in a dangerous world where women are commodities and prizes. I would love to read more plays by Lashof that take place in Ancient Greece.

Weaver's madcap comedy is fast paced, the antics and scheming leading to a hilarious showdown with characters playing characters, including bird watchers and hit men! The play is silly but it's intelligent: it focuses on how each character, bad or good, is some type of fraud or fake because each has to keep up an illusion. Plenty of surprises under the bed and at the door.

5 Stars! Definitely on my list of favorite kid plays. This should be performed at every elementary school in the nation! Zany fun with a powerful message on friendship and what makes us special (our weirdness). If you have a kid in school, have him/her read this play and get the school to do it! Distinct personalities and entertaining conflict created in a short time.

Dark comedy that is silly but also serious with its exploration of grief in a virtual-meets-reality landscape. Surprising images on almost every page.

A play that cuts deep emotionally and intellectually. The difference between authenticity and fake in respects to faith is examined, as well as belief versus hope, reason versus craziness. The playwright cuts deep into these characters like a butcher with a knife. Characters that I haven't seen on the page and stage are brought together in this satisfying play.

A touching play on the difficulty of moving on after losing so much. The conflict between mother and daughter intensifies with raw emotion, totally believable. A great play for female actors. Check it out, while I check out the other plays by Oliveira...

A powerful play on torture and suppression of human rights under a totalitarian regime. If you enjoy Brecht's plays, Pinter's Mountain Language, and Martin McDonagh's Pillowman, you should find this play just as riveting as the works by those masters. Bravo. PRODUCE THIS PLAY!

I had the opportunity of seeing this enchanting play at Mixed Blood. I left the theatre hoping to fall in love like the man and woman, but realizing love can be lost for numerous reasons and distance can separate you from the person you long for your entire life. The play made me think about two virtues essential in human beings: patience and faith. Read it, perform it, or demand to see it.

The play Life Lines addresses something universal about the mourning process: the mourner's searching for answers through the love one's belongings. What is special about this play is how the writer handles the mental process of the mother and theatricalizes that -- externalizing what is internal and making that relatable. Painful and intimate scenario. I can definitely relate to the mother and I'm not a mother. A great play for competition. Bravo.
