Wow - quirky and satirical - this short play that I had the pleasure of seeing at the Midwest Dramatist Conference was a true force. ROBERTS' hilarious plays on standard baby shower, wedding shower games were delightful and just the right amount of cringe. This monologue is the perfect example that a monologue shouldn't be written unless a character is ready to explode. Andrea is cocked and loaded, and we, as audience members, benefit from her trauma.

Wow... I was honored to see this beautiful short play written by LARRY RINKEL at the 2023 Midwest Dramatists Conference. What an absolutely masterful narrative about unrequited love, lost time, and the power of words. JUST LOVELY.

I was honored to see this short play by GREG LAM performed at the 2023 Midwest Dramatists Conference. This is the kind of play that makes me think. This is the kind of play that makes me wonder. This is the kind of play that inspires me to be a better writer.

Oh, VICKI MEAGHER, I adore your brain and what it does with this crazy world in which we live. I was lucky to see this satirical short play at the 2023 Midwest Dramatists Conference. Anyone concerned with where we are as a nation will appreciate MEAGHER's artful use of language and tropes showing the ridiculously of it all. BRAVA.

It was an honor to see this short play by PHILLIP MIDDLETON WILLIAMS performed at the 2023 Midwest Dramatists Conference. MIDDLETON WILLIAMS' use of dark humor is pure mastery. His character generational differences melt away as the piece moves, and his descriptive and colorful language is a gift. I highly recommend this wonderful short play.

Any short play that starts with the line, "Fuck around. and find out!" has my heart. What a pleasure it was to experience this wonderful play by GREG ROMERO at the 2023 Midwest Dramatists Conference. ROMERO's masterful use of evasion creates a piece where tension and anticipation are artfully employed. FANTASTIC!

What a treat is was to experience the first scene of this compelling piece by Dan Born at the Midwest Dramatists Conference 2023. Intriguing characters with wonderful rapport, fascinating situations, and implications for lives to come.

What a hoot it was to play one of the brilliant characters in this short play by RACHEL FEENY-WILLIAMS at our Sunday playwriting group. RACHEL does what she does best here...She introduces us to colorful characters, adds in a bit of evasion, grows the tension naturally, then brings it all home is the most satisfying way possible. PERFECT.

What an absolutely lovely story! We had the pleasure of reading this at a weekly playwright's group, and everyone was completely charmed. Any grandfather would be proud to have CHRISTOPHER PLUMRIDGE bring his stories of WW2 to life. The characters are handled with real tenderness as they make their way through a violent world. Modern flying machines next to new life about to take flight... just beautiful.

What a pleasure it was to hear this reading at our weekly Sunday reading. ALICE has the gift of bringing history or folklore into the modern age with familiar characters along side new characters in fascinating situations. I would love to visit this French hamlet... or would I?
