I loved this play, and its ability to be the complete opposite of what you think it's about when it first starts. Michael Pisaturo's characters have heart and humor, and ultimately, by the end of it, I was totally moved by it. "Paper Planes" is terrific!
  • SLEEPYHEAD: A GAY MONOLOGUE

Another winner from Asher Wyndham! One of the things I love about his writing is how effortlessly he makes the dialogue not sound like an actor merely speaking lines, and this monologue is dynamite in that respect!

A fascinating, fast-paced one-act that gripped me straight through, "Happi in Iowa" is intriguing, with a tough and bitter edge. I could easily recall Tracy Letts' writing when I was reading it, and with a story this attention-grabbing and dialogue/punctuation this naturally written, it easily puts Asher Wyndham on my list of playwrights for me to watch out for. Very well-done!

A terrifically imaginative 10-minute horror and a guaranteed blast for actors! It's fast, it's exciting, and it's creepy! Right on, Lindsay Partain!

What I love about Michael Pisaturo's writing on this short is how realistic the dialogue and the characters are. You feel like you're reading an actual conversation. These characters are so utterly human, and the story makes me laugh as much as it brings a tear to my eye. As a gay man, I've read a lot of coming-out plays, but none quite like this.

Donna Hoke has written a ten-minute that is funny, non-stereotypical, and has heart. I could very much compare these two to Will and Grace due to their likability. Just enough raunch and great, fresh dialogue.
  • The Boys Upstairs

A funny, sweet, raunchy riff on "Sex and the City" for gay twenty-somethings. Full of laughs, heart, and lovable characters with nifty dialogue.

Very cute, funny, and original idea for a ten-minute! Would love to see this produced somewhere!

Philip Middleton Williams has written a very sweet and funny piece on the importance of family and knowing your roots. I applaud him for writing a piece this heartwarming.
