With a silent piece sometimes they are expected to be overly-abstract. This was very real. Sweet, heartwarming, enjoyable to watch. The journey through the story seemed very possible, as if this may have really happened. I'd like to see the duality of their windows and situations on stage.
  • (SHORT DUMBSHOW:) The Train

Some dialogue-less plays are hard to imagine in the "real world," but this is one many of us may have been a part of and if not have seen on screen before. Reading Person 1 & 2 interact in such a meaningful way without words was such a delight.

I usually don't enjoy one person shows but, I realized I don't like superficial one person shows. This, I like. Watching The Slob act in an isolating, disgusting, and, unfortunately, relatable way is comedic and frightening all at once. Would love to see this on stage.

Was able to see this at the New Masculinities Festival 2019 in NYC. Seeing such different characters share a conversation as their relationship changed was a pleasure. Being from a small town and then going to college myself, I have spent plenty of time beside both of these characters and I think it's important for the public to realize that they can exist in the same space. A great short comedy that any audience will love.

What, a, journey. This one-act pulls the audience between the stories so flawlessly and yet when it all collides the shock still hits you. "Facsimile" allowed me to enjoy the nuances of the mother-son dichotomy mixed with the rebellion of youth while still forwarding the story. I'm doing my best not to spoil it, so I'll say this: there are moments of shock, "aw," and goosebumps. This is definitely a script I hope to see on stage one day.
  • The Play About Leonard

Wow. I was lucky enough to see this performed at University of New Haven and have just read the script for the first time. It takes a bleak, but clear cut, look at human existence and allows us to laugh at some moments while still wondering if we're stuck in the same place as Leonard. I hope I can see it produced again in my lifetime.

A funny piece that keeps you guessing and makes you want to get on stage and help Bruce through the whole "fiasco."
