I am a playwright that likes to focus on verse plays and revitalizing the verse drama. My goal is to create that classical feel for contemporary audiences and artists. Because of my connection to classical works, I have also adapted various Shakespeare plays for productions that I have directed. I am also a librettist and lyricist, and always add a comical, fantastical, and quirky flair to the musicals I write. Because most of my training has been as a performer and director, I know what works onstage and what performers and directors love to read, and what audiences engage with.
