She is terrorized daily by the housemaid, BIRGIT, who is sweet to all others she meets, and is being visited by the ghost of her sweet, departed daughter, NETTIE. Her devoted husband, NATHANIEL, stands by her even as the doctor recommends he send her away to a facility.

This family drama explores that what we see, is not always what you get. A happy family on the surface is plagued by the tyranny of a violent and abusive father. A mother and children struggle each day to survive, while on the outside, everything appears normal. A picture is worth a thousand words.
