  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Designated Driver

Wow, a ten minute nonlinear and beautiful play of three very distinct and unique characters. These characters are so strong, they could carry a full length play for sure! What a powerful short play unlike any I have ever read before.

I am so impressed by the masterful use of heightened language with such a modern comedic delivery! I enjoyed every page of this short play, including the very last cheesy page! This would be a terrific piece for students to get comfortable with heightened language in performance. But also, audiences will just eat this play up, like a delightful block of cheese!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Karlie's Jitters (Monologue)

Karlie has been hardened by a lifetime of pain. Yet somehow she has found love. Now, it is clear the next step is to find trust. Trust in herself and a willingness to be vulnerable to new potential pain. Karlie has strong, harsh and yet earned words for her mother. But, the softness is there. And the actor who performs this piece will have fun chipping through these layers!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Mummy and Me

Oh there are so many levels to be played in this sweet short play! The comedy, of course, but then there's that level of loneliness and isolation that Ned feels, working alone and being considered "different" and comparing the loneliness of Max, a former "boy king." Then there's Max reminding Ned to take his pill at the end and I have so many feelings! Just a sweet, deeply layered play.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: The Fist of Branding

When you're deep in the job, it's probably not the best time to workshop your name brand! I was laughing out loud through this short play of unfortunate name association. What a fun concept!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Good Boy

A heartbreaking snapshot of a devastating moment. One Paul never expected to hit him the way it does. A picture postcard of loss.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: The End of Days

When two people with such a powerful shared history come back together after so much time apart, the hard conversations flow quicker but never easier. Especially with the ticking clock on the end of the world looming over them. A great piece to showcase strong actors as well as a powerful design team.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Deck The Mall

Filmmakers looking to make the next classic holiday short should consider this script.
It really is the spirit of the season in a very fun, sweet and unexpected way.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Aftermath

This is such a powerful piece. We see the actual effects after a young couple dies in a murder/suicide and how the parents are trying to understand how and why it could have happened. A great play to showcase strong acting talent. The audience will be shaken to their core by the end.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Accidental Fatal Attraction

Ha! So much happens in these 6 short pages, you'll be just as flummoxed and in love as Carmen and Jake. And isn't that just what love does? Knocks you on your feet, stops your heart and leaves you confused? I'm glad to see these two kids taking chances on life and each other!
