"In Sweden they don’t have baby food. Their babies eat mackerel and nettle soup. That’s why they’re kicking our ass in the STEM fields." This satire bites harder than little Nora during feeding time. Wonderfully sharp satire. Skewers so-called maternal advice in a matter of minutes. Recommended for anyone looking for great comedy or satire. Palladino definitely knows her craft.
  • Stick and Move

Sweet, silly and with a lot of heart, Stick and Move does a great job of presenting courtship via the prism of a boxing match. Lam's writing is very dextrous. Highly recommended, especially for those "love" themed short play nights theatres like to have.

"And I do not need to eat your throw-up." Perceptive, hilarious and biting (ouch) parable involving a family of emperor penguins getting interrupted by Tuck Tuck, the perfect catalyst. Rated "I" for intelligent audiences everywhere.
  • CINDERELLA'S REVENGE

This is a rollicking steampunk comedy with more than a hint of the perverse. Highly recommended for anyone looking for comedy, period, steampunk or Halloween plays especially. Patterson has really pushed the envelope when it comes to freakily funny steampunk oeuvres.

Strong characterization. Good role for a senior actor. Interesting use of a fusion dialect. Recommend monologue.
  • Make It Stop: A Christmas Play

Very funny play with layered jokes. A gleeful ride. Who knew ear worms could be so fun? Worth recommending as part of a night of Christmas plays. I read this via Donna Hoke's Trade a Play Tuesday. Glad I did. Thanks!

Pretty fun take on office-dronery. The author works in some great humor.

Frustratingly entertaining parable, easily applicable to modern America. Minami has created good work.
