  • Ny Qymguri: A Sinister Virtual Story
    23 Jul. 2020
Horror is a very hard genre to do in theatre...and this was a very effective way to do it, bringing us in through a character telling a story, a compelling and heart-pounding story. It makes me long to see what else Gadomski has up their sleeve.
  • Her Big Day
    20 Jul. 2020
This play is honestly a hilarious subversion of the "Bridezilla" trope, instead creating a bride so easy-going and magnanimous that that becomes the problem. I really enjoyed this piece and the humor it delivered had my belly aching by the end.
  • GROWTH IN ISOLATION

This is a very interesting bit of magical realism with lots of room for powerful interpretations. Could work equally well as an absurd comedy or a darker, creepier thing. I dig it.
  • Bump In The Night (10-min version)
    14 Jul. 2020
A comedic romp with a fun twist at the end that elevates the piece from clever to hilarious. Ben and Sarah feel real in a way where I just am dying to see them brought to life on a stage.
  • The Bag Under the Bed

Cathro writes in such a naturalistic style. What could easily be the premise for a lowbrow comedy skits becomes compellingly human...and funnier for it.
  • The Time Travelers
    7 Jul. 2020
What a fun piece! A great one act that allows for plenty of audience interaction that's sure to have anyone watching rolling.
  • A TOUR of The Early 21st Century Reproductive System (The Way We Used to Have Babies) & Real Live Birth Experience!
    4 Jul. 2020
Like all the best satire, this piece is equal parts hilarious and terrifying. Gleaning a horrifying historical shift through a peppy tour guide's routine is honestly a work of genius.
  • The Bearer (A One-Minute Play)
    23 Jun. 2020
I have never read a play capable of doing so much with so little. In two pages, we are given this nuanced, sad idea. It makes the astonished first time Cathro reader excited to see what the writer can do with a full-length piece.
  • She's Totally Killing It
    22 Jun. 2020
This is a funny play, working with well known tropes. Its resolution is also fun and ghoulish.

Though the piece is labeled a drama, I actually found it really funny in an absurd kind of way. Just playing with this idea of a major corporation doing something that seems so personal. I really enjoyed it for that.
