Opening up the dialogue about mental health, especially focused around those who silently fear and suffer with it, is essential in our times.

On top of that, this is a well written piece.
  • TEXT, a Soundscape Play
    2 Jun. 2019
I find that some of the best plays are ones that you can see so clearly in your head as you read them. Hibbard's "TEXT" accomplishes this so easily. Funny, simple, and effective.

  • Two-Timing Loaf of Bread

I'll be honest, when I read this, I was skeptical. But seeing it in performance changed my mind. It really works, and it is f***ing hilarious.

Surreal and hilarious, this one act has a frantic energy to it that is infectious. A great play for any company to take on.
  • The Audience Disturbs Marcel's Bath Time and He Is Very Upset With You All

A hilarious monologue that can be refreshingly new with every performance. The versatility in this piece, and the vast opportunity for interpretation it leaves for actors and directors to work with is truly amazing! A great piece.
  • SISTERS OF ELLERY HOLLOW

A brilliant piece of lyrical storytelling. Spotswood's American Gothic folklore tale is enchanting and engrossing. His words paint his story and its world in vivid detail. A truly wonderful piece.
  • The Wolves

DeLappe's use of naturalistic, overlapping dialogue makes this character study soar. Every character is uniquely defined and explored, and the play ramps up to a climax that left me unable to put the play down until I finished it. A fine piece of writing, and a needed piece in women's theatre.

Cooper-Novack has a knack for writing very well defined and believable characters with a combination of genuine dialogue and distinct personalities. The three character odyssey through mental illness and the strain it can cause on relationships is handled well and is compelled forward by an earnest connection between the characters and the audience, who wishes for them to achieve the goals and work out their relationship. A great piece with a lot of potential.
