This play set the room on fire at the National Winter Playwrights Retreat. A must for anyone looking for a way to discuss the impact of police violence on the future of America through the eyes (and ears) of America's youth and those trying their best to keep them safe and motivated. It's funny and touching and hopeful and devastating, with great roles for five actors of color.

A fascinating look at how we punish and provide for those we love and for those we don't understand, even when we love them. Definitely for theaters looking for work with social relevance for an strong actress over 40. And for women "of a certain age" who are looking for a smart, impactful, easily produced, tour de force project.

A stunning look at the remnants of violence and the questions that are asked of those left behind. What happens when your beloved child becomes a monster? How do you define yourself after everything that has defined you has been ripped away? Funny and touching as well as horrifying and revelatory, this play is a must read for anyone looking for answers through art in the aftermath of a tragedy.

I'm thrilled that CATF is producing the world premiere of this important play in July of 2017. Resistance is a word easily tossed around today- it is wonderful to be reminded of its true cost and the even greater tragedy of remaining silent. This is a compelling look at a heroic and largely unknown band of those who were willing to give their all.

A tense, tight, funny, troubling play that seems exactly right for America now. Its twists and turns kept me wondering what was next, and its messages regarding assumption, judgment, and redemption seem especially timely. Definitely put this on of the top of your 'to read' list.

A heartbreakingly beautiful story of maternal love and never-ending love. Gorgeous.

A lovely sister story (I'm a sucker for them!) about differing responses to grief - revenge, sorrow, solace, faith - and a need to understand the actions of those nearest to us and how outside influences bring us together to begin to heal. Thanks to Taproot Theatre in Seattle for a beautiful world premiere production.

An amazing writer and a beautiful play. This play should be on everyone's short list of works to be produced ASAP.

Love love love this one. Perfect for a woman of a certain age and an audience that wants to re-live the 70s version of themselves. Funny, exciting and introspective. Oh and the music! Have a read - it's gonna be a big hit for someone!
