  • Nan Barnett: The Mage Knights of Eternal Light

I got the chance to see a student production of this and had a great time. The fantasy work is really fun, and the themes universal and yet freshly presented. It's definitely not just for kids - there's plenty of great stuff in here for everyone!

  • Nan Barnett: TWO JEWS WALK INTO A WAR...

Hilarious and touching and such a giant hit for audiences! When these two battle it out over their choices in life, love and religion you don't want it to stop. Smart, funny, and an amazing showcase for two older character actors who get to play the drama, humor, surprise, sorrow and joy of finding their faith and their faith in humanity through a human they can't stand. Enjoy!

  • Nan Barnett: Typhoid Mary

A fascinating and fun look at the life of this woman who we so easily malign yet know so little about. A wonderful workout for three great actors, 2 of whom play multiple characters. The audience is asked to face questions of personal liberty, class bias, and - especially interesting in light of our current national debate on public health and vaccinations - who has the right to tell others what they can and cannot do when it affects the lives of those around them.

  • Nan Barnett: The Afterparty (formerly known as the Claire Play)

I favorite of mine! A delightful love story told from the a fascinating point in a woman's life. This quirky and smart tale of a first love that will never die is one for anyone who has found that loss isn't forever and that a soul mate is one who never really leaves.

  • Nan Barnett: THE GHOSTS OF LOTE BRAVO

A beautiful study of lives lived and lost, and a look at the the lengths to which humans will go for the opportunity to make the next day better for themselves and those they love. Bettis' ability to weave the dark beauty of belief with the desperation and unrelenting want of these women is powerful and highly theatrical. I can't wait to see it produced.

  • Nan Barnett: Uncanny Valley

Yet another thought provoking, smart, visionary play by one of NNPN's favorites. Uncanny Valley takes us into the near future and asks us questions about what makes us human and what happens to memories once our human container is no longer capable. Fascinating and funny, chilling and compelling!

  • Nan Barnett: Two Weekends And A Day

So much fun! A wonderful piece about "what ifs" and "if onlys" featuring strong, smart, sexy middle aged characters for those actors who are still all that, These characters have experience and history, and laughter and loss and relationships and regrets. It's sweet, and bittersweet, and bitter, just like life. Perfect for boomer audiences and anyone who has ever loved and lost and loved again.

So fun! Got to see a great reading at the Orlando Shakes Festival and had a grand time. Funny, girl power, science play with that fabulous Reina twist. It's not just for kids!

  • Nan Barnett: REALS

This is a whirlwind of a play: one that engages with subject matter typically excluded from our stages. Definitely sure to appeal to a difficult-to-reach audience segment: young people. But it's not without great depth and insight, either.

  • Nan Barnett: The Last Buckley

Oh the lengths to which we will go to get our way! Cann gives us a glimpse into the undoing of a woman who has long been at the center of a political dynasty, and shows us how easily fiction becomes fact when you imbue it with a sense of being "for the good of the people." This is a very human story of those in power and their empowerment - very timely.
