Ken Love has created a whip-smart drama that shows us how the "political" and the "personal" are often two sides of the same coin. With its cleverly plotted structure, brisk pacing and pitch-perfect dialogue, DEFAULT hits home on multiple levels -- intellectually, emotionally and morally. Bravo!

A gut-wrenching story about a life spiraling out of control, told with no-frills authenticity and profound compassion. Jack Levine honors all his characters with respect and grace, emphasizing their shared humanity, and that's really why we care so deeply about them. I read this play in one sitting last night, and find myself still thinking about it hours later. Highly recommended!
