  • Eric Roberts: Paradise Park Zoo

One of my favorite pieces of theater that I've read on here. The overarching theme of the cages we build for ourselves is crushing. The narrative voice of the play sings through the whole script and is a pleasure to read with others, especially the way the play is broken up. The play creates a unique theater space and experience. Savannah has a wonderful style of setting a play and discussing topics with humor and passion. My hope is to one day produce one of her works on the stage. A true talent we are lucky the have.

  • Eric Roberts: And the Lights of the Borealis Were Shining

Lizz’s writing reminds me of the work of Sarah Ruhl. There is such a whimsy in the magical realism of this play as BEE discovers themselves through this pact. This is a play that can be staged so colorfully and so pure. Can't wait to read more of the author’s work.

  • Eric Roberts: A Spirited Manor - A Victorian Penny Dreadful

A penny dreadful that would be a delight to stage with the ghosts, monsters, and supernatural. A fun play for the Halloween season.

  • Eric Roberts: Antigone, presented by the girls of St. Catherine's

Antigone, presented by the girls of St. Catherine's, is a deep play about the structure and the confines in which some use their power and privilege over others. When I started, the piece did not expect that it would end where it did or that it was going to tackle such themes. But I'm impressed with where the playwright took the piece. These characters have unique dynamics that genuinely make you feel for their struggles and the societal pressures on young women. I can't wait to read more from the author.

  • Eric Roberts: French Pig

This play is funny, very Mel Brooks humor mixed with a vulgar spouting pig whose objectives are very clear from the start. The play doesn't linger too long in moments but has moments where the emotions can breathe as the woman deals with grief and responsibility. This play is layered and comes to a satisfying conclusion.

  • Eric Roberts: The Good Deli

This is authentic New England grade-A humor and references. Kevin writes with such familiarity and pointedness that the character's humor feels authentic and not forced. There's a delicate balance of humor and drama that pulls on the heartstrings as the characters struggle with their responsibilities and opportunities. Seeing the stages of grief portrayed in such a unique manner kept me reading all the way through. Excellent work.

  • Eric Roberts: what the Gods gave me

An electrifying play from start to finish, the route in which the play found it's climax was thrilling. Eryn wrote such complex and emotional characters that you felt for throughout the play. It's unique style and themes bring fresh air to the format. Looking forward to more work from this artist.

  • Eric Roberts: How Sweet The Sound

A style of writing that blends Sam Shepard with Chekhov. The action is tense with masculine control and formality that needs to go unquestioned. The cyclical nature of the piece gives a foreboding feeling for the future of these characters as the play ends. A fantastic piece of theater.

  • Eric Roberts: Wunderkammer

One of my favorite pieces I've read on here. A unique and powerful playwright that captures the struggles of identity and power with a fresh perspective. It was a “can’t put this down” kind of play. Would love to see this produced. Can’t wait to read more from the author.

  • Eric Roberts: All This Togetherness

Francesca is able to work magic with this short piece. Each character feels unique and yet related, urgency and hesitation pool from the characters as the reality of their situation and the leap needed to get to the next point comes to reality. The dialogue was witty and pointed. A great playwright.
