In the wake of the vicious murder of George Floyd and the riots which ensued thereafter, a diverse team of copywriters strive to meet a deadline and be relevant. Callous, yes, but relevant, nonetheless. Simpatico has done a brilliant job at illustrating consumerism and capitalism pitted against the masses. This is, indeed, a must read, but it is not for the faint of heart. Well done.

I have always been a rabid fan of the Saw movie franchise. This parody is amazing. I would absolutely love to see this done for a festival. Would definitely be a winner. Must read!

The terror of losing someone you love—or even yourself—to a slow and often painful death is a lot to bear for anyone. Especially when dealing with social stigma and misinformation. Philip Middleton Williams has brilliantly placed a moment in history still extremely relevant today into a beautiful time capsule for all to see. This short play is poignant and necessary. A must read and should be produced at least once by every theatre company. Do your part to educate.

I never would have thought that a one minute play could be so epic! What a wonderful read!

Who doesn't love hearing a familiar story from a new perspective? Playwright Kaplan easily captivates the audience with an enjoyable iteration of a forlorn Tinkerbell. This short play would be a joy and challenge for any skilled actress. Highly recommended!

Prillaman has done it again, tackling sensitive subjects with a measured hand. This time, domestic violence is at the forefront. Just as it is in life, there are no easy answers, and our experiences leave marks—water damage—that only we can see. Playwright Prillaman is a voice of the age. Highly recommended.
  • Miles to Go

In ten short minutes, we vicariously experience what it is like inside of a person's head who struggles with mental health. All of the major players in Miles' life—ADHD, Depression, Anxiety, and Gender Dysphoria—are living not just in his head but his apartment.

Playwright Wilson has astonished me with his quick wit and brisk pace. He is a positive voice in the trans playwriting universe. Would be an eye-opening experience for any festival audience member.
  • Too Hard A Knot - a short play

Who doesn't love good puns? This play is full of them. And honestly, I kinda wish this restaurant really existed because I totally want to eat there. Well, except for the disturbing patrons... This is a must read!
  • Herlandia (a full-length stage play adaptation of Charlotte Perkins Gilman's HERLAND)
    18 Apr. 2021
Playwright Madden has developed a monumental commentary on today's society and women's role in it using the brilliant feminist novel Herland as the backdrop. Light-hearted, even in it's darker moments, using a measured, delicate hand. Very well done. Highly recommended.

This fast-paced play is an ode to over-sharing and awkward waitresses. Very well written. Would love to see this at a festival.
