Katie Walker (she/her) is a freelance Dramaturg and Director from Denver, Colorado and based in New York City. She currently serves as the NYC-Metro Regional VP for the Literary Managers and Dramaturgs of the Americas and works as a Research Assistant in the Theatre on Film and Tape Archive at the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts. She evaluates new play submissions as a Script Reader for The Playwrights Realm Writing Fellowship and Scratchpad Series. Most recently, she directed Rabbit. Rabbit. She has previously evaluated play submissions for the New Play Summit at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts, the NAPSeries Festival at Normal Ave, and the Workshop Theatre. She acted for several years as the Literary Manager and Resident Dramaturg for Pipedream Productions (Piping Hot New Works, 4.48 Psychosis, White Rabbit Red Rabbit - Denver True West Award). In Colorado, she also assisted Ina Marlowe and Stephanie Prugh with dramaturgy for the Roe Green production of A Doll's House at the University of Colorado, Boulder and worked on the 2017 Athena Project Plays in Progress festival.

Katie specializes in new play development, musical theatre, textual analysis, adaptation of theatrical classics, and research-driven work. She is passionate about helping writers of all mediums tell their stories as impactfully as possible.
